Terms & Conditions

Protection plan commencing upon expiry of the manufacturer's warranty.

1. Scope of Coverage

• This warranty covers repairs and workmanship at no additional cost to the customer in the event of mechanical and electrical failures arising under normal operating conditions.
• Malfunctions occurring during the valid warranty period that are not caused by external damage, misuse, or unauthorized repairs.
• Coverage is limited to the original product configuration as purchased and does not include upgrades or accessories. In the event the product cannot be repaired, a replacement or settlement will be provided as outlined under the Limitations section of these Terms.

2. Claim Process

• The customer must present the product at an authorized Safari Hypermarket customer service desk or an approved service centre.
• For large or heavy appliances, a complimentary pick-up and return service will be arranged for eligible products where on-site service is not available. Eligibility is determined by product category and size.
• The customer must declare that the product is enrolled under the Xceed Extended Warranty Program at the time of submitting a service request.
• A valid warranty certificate and the original purchase invoice or receipt must be presented at the time of the service request.
• The authorized service agent will inspect and diagnose the product to determine whether the reported issue is covered under these warranty terms.
• Where repair is not feasible, a replacement voucher will be processed in accordance with the depreciation schedule detailed under the Limitations section.
• The standard turnaround time for repair is up to 15 working days, subject to spare parts availability and the nature of the fault.
• Extended warranty claims will be approved solely on the basis of a technical test report issued by the authorized service centre.

3. Exclusions

This extended warranty does not cover:

• Accidental damage, liquid damage, misuse, or negligence.
• External or physical damage, or repairs carried out by any unauthorized service provider.
• Modifications or tampering by any party not authorized by Safari Hypermarket.
• Consumables and accessories including, but not limited to, batteries, cables, and chargers.
• Cosmetic damage, scratches, discolouration, or normal wear and tear that does not affect the core functionality of the product.
• Damage caused by improper installation, incorrect usage, or use of incompatible accessories or power sources.
• Products with missing, altered, or tampered serial numbers.
• Damage resulting from natural disasters, transit, or pest infestation.
• Software-related issues, including viruses, data loss, or configuration errors.

4. Limitations

• The total value of all claims under this extended warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
• Safari Hypermarket reserves the right to repair or replace the product with one of equivalent value, calculated after applicable depreciation, if repair attempts are unsuccessful.
• Replaced defective spare parts or units will not be returned to the customer.
• Where the estimated cost of repair exceeds the original purchase price, the product will be deemed a total loss and compensation will be provided based on depreciation.

5. Liability

• The Xceed Extended Warranty provides coverage solely for mechanical and electrical failures occurring under normal operating conditions.
• This warranty does not cover data loss, data recovery, or backup services, nor any damage arising from misuse, abuse, or improper handling.
• The warranty period commences from the expiry date of the manufacturer's warranty and remains valid for the duration corresponding to the plan purchased (one year or as extended).
• Warranty validity is tied to the original purchase date as recorded on the invoice and is verified by the product serial number or barcode.

6. General Conditions

• This warranty is non-transferable and applies exclusively to the original purchaser.
• Warranty coverage is valid only within the State of Qatar.
• Safari Hypermarket reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to repair or replace the product with an equivalent model where repair is not feasible or cost-effective.
• All claims are subject to verification and approval in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
• For home delivery purchases, the Xceed Extended Warranty card will be issued within 48 hours of the purchase date.
• In the event a product under active manufacturer warranty is replaced by the manufacturer with a new unit, the existing Xceed Extended Warranty coverage shall transfer to the replacement product for the remaining balance of the original extended warranty period, subject to submission of valid replacement documentation issued by the manufacturer.
• The Xceed Extended Warranty is non-refundable and non-returnable once purchased. An exception applies only where the associated product is returned within 7 days of the original purchase date, and the extended warranty alone shall not be eligible for return or refund independently.
